Quitting smoking now is the single best thing you can do for your health and the health of those around you. If you have tried to quit in the past or this is your first time, you may already know that you can use all the help you can get.
Quitting can be very difficult due to the physical as well as the psychological symptoms of withdrawal. Restlessness, jitters, cravings and irritability are common complaints among those trying to quit. Many people start smoking again because of these withdrawal symptoms alone.
According to the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), the acupuncture protocol for smoking cessation is a an "auricular" (ear-point) technique especially designed for this type of treatment and has been carefully developed and extensively tested. It is used around the world to help people deal with and recover from substance abuse.
The NADA protocol has been shown in a variety of clinical settings to be beneficial in the process of detoxification from substance abuse as well as to help with the emotional, physical and psychological attributes involved in addictions.
The IHA Smoking Cessation Program uses the NADA protocol as well as customizing each session by addressing any individual symptoms you may have.
Each session lasts about 30 minutes and is given once per week for 6 consecutive weeks. After the 6 week period, you may or may not need additional treatments.
* Please note that single, pay-as-you-go sessions are available, but it is strongly advised that you take advantage of the discounted 6 session smoking cessation program to get the most out of the treatments and increase your chance of success.
Normally, a series of 6 treatments would cost $420, but the program has been discounted to only $360. That's the same amount you would spend on a pack-a-day habit in less than two months!
* The smoking cessation package must be paid in full prior to receiving the treatments in order to receive the discounted rate. Any unused sessions cannot be refunded.
